In order to promote the butt joint between “the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road” and “Nawacita program” proposed by Indonesia President Joko, under the support of International Cooperation Center of National Development and Reform Commission, Indonesia's interior ministry cooperated with Global Marine silk road of common development research institute from Tsinghua University research center and held international cooperation seminar “Solve Scarcity of Clean Drinking Water, Renewable Energy, Waste Water and Waste Disposal Treatment” in the capital, Jakarta. Academician Wang Hao attended the meeting as the Chinese representative.

Dr. Wang introduced China’s experience in water resources management. He thinks that China is a water shortage country, while the western countries due to without huge population pressure, not paying too much attention on water treatment. However, water resources problem is severe in China, especially since the reform and opening-up policy, China has put a lot into water resources management and walked in the forefront of the world. Meanwhile, Dr. Wang aimed at island characteristics of Bali Province, put forward suggestions and schemes about water resources evaluation, Top-level design, treatment system and financing. His suggestions received a warm welcome in Indonesia.
